Firstchance Resource Library

Welcome to Firstchance Resource Library!

Firstchance is a not for profit organisation that provides early intervention and school aged programs for children aged 0-9 years with a disability or developmental delay, and their families.

We are a multidisciplinary team with significant expertise in assisting children with a range of disabilities – and this includes developmental delay, autism, chromosomal disorders and genetic conditions.

Based in Newcastle, Firstchance has been serving the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens region for over 40 years.

The Firstchance Resource Library has been set up to offer improved access and better tracking of the broad range of equipment and resources that Firstchance has available for trial, and/or short term loan by the families we support. This includes assistive technology / equipment to support a child's function and safety; toys and games to support their development; and books that offer insights for parents/carers.

Feel free to browse the collection we have available. Some items require the advice and guidance of a therapist for safe use. If you see something you like, have a chat with one of your Firstchance team about exploring whether the item may assist or be suitable for your child.
